The Department of Social Sciences offers courses and degrees in seven academic areas: anthropology, health and behavioral sciences, non-profit management, philosophy, political science, prelaw studies and sociology. In addition, we offer core classes in social sciences to all students enrolled at UHD - impacting every UHD Gator.

A degree in any of the social sciences demonstrates an alum's flexibility, adaptability, and social intelligence. UHD social science students are positioned for success through Service Learning Opportunities and Internships that focus on developing real-life skills while service the greater community.
